Quick Start
Get up and running with the KIT Customization plugin in under 10 minutes. Follow this step-by-step guide for both the WordPress plugin and Laravel licensing portal.
Part 1: Install BallinKit Plugin
Step 1: Upload Plugin
Upload the kit-customizer folder to wp-content/plugins/ via FTP or upload the zip file through WordPress admin (Plugins > Add New > Upload).
Step 2: Activate Plugin
Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins and click "Activate" under Kit Customizer.
Step 3: Configure Plugin Settings
Go to Kit Designer > Settings and configure:
- API URL (your licensing portal URL)
- API Secret (must match portal)
- Cache directory settings
- Default pricing rules
Step 4: Activate License
Navigate to Kit Designer > License, enter your license key, and click "Activate".
Part 2: Create Your First Customizable Product
Step 1: Create WooCommerce Product
Go to Products > Add New and create a new product.
Step 2: Enable Customizer
In the Product Data panel, find the "KIT Customizer" tab and check "Enable Customizer".
Step 3: Upload Assets
Upload base garment images, color masks, and patterns for each view (front, back, side).
Step 4: Configure Pricing
Set up pricing strategy (feature-based, view-based, or area-based) and bulk discount tiers.
Step 5: Publish Product
Publish the product. The "Customize Design" button will now appear on the frontend product page.
Part 3: Test the Integration
Step 1: Test Designer Studio
Visit the product page on your site and click "Customize Design" to launch the designer studio.
Step 2: Add to Cart
Create a design and add it to cart. Verify the preview appears in cart.
Step 3: Complete Order
Complete checkout and verify the license is generated in the licensing portal.
Step 4: Check License Activation
Verify the license is active in the licensing portal customer dashboard.
