Print Files

BallinKit creates professional vector and high-resolution export layers ready for instant garment or banner printing. The server-side compositing engine uses ImageMagick/GD2 to generate print-ready files from customer designs.

Print Generation Specs

Output Formats

  • PNG: High-resolution raster images with transparency
  • PDF: Vector format for professional printing
  • SVG: Scalable vector graphics for unlimited scaling
  • TIFF: Print-ready format with CMYK support

Resolution Settings

  • 150 DPI: Standard web quality
  • 300 DPI: Professional print quality (recommended)
  • 600 DPI: High-end print quality
  • Custom: Configure custom DPI settings

Color Profiles

  • RGB: Standard web color space
  • CMYK: Print color space (converts RGB to CMYK)
  • Profile: Use ICC color profiles for accurate color reproduction

Scaling

  • Real-World Dimensions: Renders outputs matching exact dimensions (e.g., 10in x 12in)
  • Pixel Dimensions: Alternative pixel-based output
  • Aspect Ratio: Maintains original aspect ratio
  • Bleed Area: Configurable bleed for printing

Print File Generation

Automatic Generation

  • Print files generated on order completion

File Structure

File Naming Convention

  • Format: orderID_viewID_format.ext
  • Example: 12345_front_300dpi.png
  • Team Orders: orderID_playerName_viewID.ext

Storage Location

  • Default: wp-content/uploads/kit-print-files/{orderId}/
  • Alternative: Configurable via settings
  • Security: Protected from direct access
  • Retention: Files retained for configurable period
